Focusing on THANKFUL
As the season changes, many people are affected by colder weather and darker days - experiencing a downturn in their overall energy and attitude. And yet, this time of year also features a holiday centered on being thankful. Studies have found positive correlations between people's level of gratitude and their exercise, healthy eating, and going to the doctor. These "wellbeing-boosting behaviors" are valuable tools, especially as we face seasonal slumps.
Our focus for this month is not just inward gratitude, but noticing the incredible impact happening at the YMCA every day through people devoted to friendship, achievement, and belonging.
