While individual sports and activities help develop personal and physical skills, there is nothing like the interaction of team sports such as basketball, soccer and T-ball to develop cooperation, strategy and sportsmanship. YMCA sports leagues offer a low-pressure, high-participation opportunity to develop these skills. The “bench” is one position no one has to play at the Y.
Starts October 12, 2019
The YMCA will be hosting a Jr. Cavs Basketball League at the Central YMCA. Jr. Cavs basketball leagues offer kids of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to learn what it takes to win both on and off the court. Our leagues emphasize having fun while encouraging skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship and community involvement.
The league will include three practices ran by your coaches from the Jr. Cavs and six league games are where you can see what your child learned from this experience. Other benefits of signing up for the league include the following:
Cost: If you register before September 23, the cost is $70/members and $100/non-members. If you register before September 30, the cost is $85/members and $115/non-members.

A Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) occurs when the heart suddenly and unexpectedly stops beating, cutting off blood flow to the brain and other vital organs. Sudden cardiac arrest is fatal if not treated immediately, most often by a defibrillator.
